                   How to Care for Your Mixed Strands Luxury Hair

Mixed Strands Luxury hair was created not only due to the lack of high-end and luxury texture varietals but also the disconnection in education of hair extensions it’s application and its maintenance. 

With hair extensions, CARE is key. We mean YOUR hair too! 

Cleanse:

1. Using lukewarm water, gently rinse starting at the top slowly and gently working your way to the ends.
2. Cleanse using a sulfate free, hydrating/moisturizing shampoo
3. Condition using a hydrating/moisturizing formula conditioner.  Deep condition if needed. Reads instructions on back of product label. *Avoid the tape on tape-ins.
4. Lightly detangle hair from ends to top of each piece with a small tooth comb or a detangling brush.

Heat Style

1. Before using heat tools.Style hair on 100% dry hair. Let air dry (preferred), or blow dry on medium heat using a heat protectant. 
2. Heat style on only 100% dry hair, on no higher that 350 degrees F. 

Night care:

1. Sleeping  with extensions in: Wrap in our Mixed Strands Bonnet or accompany with a Micro fiber, silky or satin pillow case.

Storage

1. Storage: Advised storage is to hang clean, dry extensions in a Mixed Strands       Luxury Hair dust-proof hair garment bag with hanger.

How Long Do they Last?

• up to 1 years+ with everyday use 
• up to 2 years+ with occasional use 

How do I care for my extensions?

• to get optimal time out your extensions use sulfate free hydrating or moisturizing products. (see care instructions for in depth information)
• minimize the usage of harsh products 

How often should I wash my MSLH extensions?

• every 2 weeks to 30 days or 14 to 30+ wears or if there is too much build up. 

Can I wash my natural hair with my extensions in ?

• yes, but be very delicate especially with tape-ins

Can I color my hair with extensions in?

• we do not recommend unless it doesn't come in direct contact (bleach is a no go!)
• if it does come in contact with extensions make sure to thoroughly wash until water runs clear.

Can I color my extensions?

• yes but can change the longevity and integrity of curls or waves. That is why we recommend a professional to aide you. 
• also to match your natural beautiful  hair color

Can I heat style my MSLH?

• yes, recommended heat is medium stetting or low on a non adjustable temperature tool

How to prevent tangles and matting?

• Brush hair daily and often, from the root the ends. For longevity of hair you must take care of extensions just like your own hair.
